“Chemistry Research in Industry”
Abstract:
Dr. Radu will discuss how research takes place in an industrial setting, with a focus on her career at DuPont on the development of materials for Organic Light Emitting Diodes.
Bio:
Dr. Nora Radu obtained her Ph.D. in Chemistry working with Professor T. Don Tilley beginning at the University of California at San Diego and completing her work at the University of California at Berkeley. She pursued postdoctoral work at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, working with Professor Steve Buchwald and also in collaboration with Dr. Carol Burns of Los Alamos National Lab. Dr. Radu is involved with science outreach activities at local schools. She currently serves as a Program Chair for the ACS Division of Inorganic Chemistry.
